Marco Antonio Solís Sosa is a Mexican musician, singer, songwriter, actor and record producer. Born and raised in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, Mexico, Solís started her musical career at the age of 6, performing part of Los Hermanitos Solís. In 1975, he co-founded Los Bukis, in which he was the lead singer and guitarist. The group disbanded after nearly two decades of success, Solís pursued a solo career. Solís released his first solo album, En Pleno Vuelo in 1996 on Fonovisa Records. Solís has received five Latin Grammy Awards, two Lo Nuestro, had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was inducted into Billboard's Latin Music Hall of Fame.
Between 1994 and 2010, he scored nine #1 singles as a Latin pop musician. In 1975, he and his cousin Joel Solis formed the Latin band Los Bukis.
